Redesigned Sidebar (opt-in): A completely rethought sidebar makes navigating deeply nested pages more intuitive. The more complex your workspace, the more impactful this feels.
Presentation Mode: Any Notion doc can become a slideshow. Present directly from your Notion page without exporting to a separate slides tool.
Notion 3.4 also previews Custom Agents, available free through May 3, 2026.
2. Custom Skills β Build Your Team's Own AI Commands
Released March 20, Custom Skills is the most practically impactful feature of this update cycle.
The concept is simple: save any repetitive AI task as a Notion page, and your whole team can invoke it from the text selection menu or by @mentioning it in agent chat.
How to set it up:

Custom Instructions (rolled out March): Define exactly how AI Meeting Notes creates your summaries. Provide team and project context for accuracy, or specify sections, tone, and length to standardize format. Configure in the Instructions option at the bottom of any AI Meeting Notes block.
Consent Controls (March 12): Workspace owners can now set a workspace-wide policy for AI Meeting Notes audio consent. When enabled, a consent message plays automatically at the start of each transcription. Managed in Settings β Notion AI β AI Meeting Notes.
This is particularly valuable for compliance with GDPR and other privacy frameworks β the consent flow is now built into the tool, not a manual process.
