Poland's Education Overhaul 'Reform26' — Less Memorisation, More Competence, Starting September

Poland is launching its largest-ever school reform from 1 September 2026. Known as 'Compass of Tomorrow,' the overhaul shifts away from rote memorisation toward key competencies and project-based learning, while expanding teacher autonomy. The reform will be fully implemented by 2031–2032 and is set to become a new benchmark for educational innovation in Europe.
